Answering services take a message. ServiceTitan and Housecall Pro start after the call. CallFundr runs the entire job lifecycle — answer to close.

A customer calls your shop's number. The AI answers, sounds professional, and collects what's wrong, where they are, and when they're available — in your time zone.
- 02Book
It schedules a 2-hour window inside the bookable hours you set. After hours, you pick the rule: book the next business day ("we've got you for tomorrow 8–10am") or forward the call details to whoever you designate as on-call.
- 03Dispatch
The job goes to the tech by text: "New job — AC not cooling, 123 Main St, Mrs. Johnson, 2–4pm. Reply OK to accept." Tech replies OK, then "on my way," "running late 20," "arrived."
- 04Update
The customer gets "Your technician Mike is on the way," an updated ETA if he's late, and "your technician has arrived" — automatically. They never call back wondering where the tech is.
- 05Close
The ticket becomes the invoice, payment is tracked, and equipment photos (model/serial plate) are saved to the address — so next time, the tech knows what's there before he shows up.

What happens to after-hours calls?
You pre-configure one of two options: book the first window on the next business day, or forward the call details to your designated on-call person. You control who gets after-hours forwarding in your settings.
What if a tech doesn't check in?
If the tech doesn't update within a reasonable window after the scheduled time, the bot texts him for a status. If he still doesn't respond, it follows up with the customer so nobody is left hanging.
Do I keep my existing number?
Yes — calls to your shop's number are answered by CallFundr. Customers call the same number they always have.
How does the customer know the tech is coming?
They get a confirmation text with the date, window, and company name, then "on the way," any late ETA updates, and "arrived" — all automatic.
How long does setup take?
Minutes. Pick a plan, enter your details, and your AI receptionist is answering with your number assigned and dispatch board live. You finish the operational setup in your dashboard.
